Projects

These projects are highlighted in our photo gallery.

San Luis Obispo and Santa Maria Airports, Air Traffic control Towers

This project entailed repainting the exterior of each tower. Safety was the highest concern due to the commercial and private aircraft traffic in and out of these airports. Logistical issues included coordination with air traffic controllers the aircraft ground traffic while accessing our work, and  coordination of our work on the “cab” and obstruction of the tower windows.

Sierra Vista Mall Expansion, Clovis CA

This project included several new shop buildings, a 16-screen movie theatre, and repainting the Gottschalks department store. In addition to the acrylic finishes, we installed elastomeric coatings, textured coatings, multi-color coatings, and vinyl wall coverings.

Chukchansi Park, Fresno CA

This project is one of the crown jewels of the Downtown Fresno Redevelopment Program. It is the home of the Grizzlies, Fresno’s AAA baseball team as well as the site for many other sports and cultural events. The project included extensive high performance special coatings (epoxies and urethanes) as well as vinyl wall coverings at the interior spaces.

Times Square Shopping Center, Fresno CA

This was an exterior repaint of the existing center. The work involved coordination with the existing tenants to minimize impact to their businesses.

Keisho Plaza Office Building, Fresno CA

This project was a new upscale office building located in North Fresno.

The Shops at Riverpark, Fresno CA

We have painted many building at this shopping center. These include the 21-Plex and IMAX movie theatres, several shop buildings, and the parking structure. We have also completed several repaints and sign repair jobs at the center as tenants come and go. We also help with basic maintenance painting projects as needed.

Yosemite National Park

We have completed many projects for the National Park Service over the years. Most recently, we completed a complete repaint of the exterior of the Wawona Hotel. This involved special procedures and considerations because these buildings are of historical significance and are full of lead-based paint. All work was done while guests were present. Another project was repainting the exterior of the Yosemite Lodge complex. Again done while guests were present. Other projects include repainting the exterior of the Glacier Point Visitors center, the interior and exterior of the Yosemite Village Store, the interiors of the Curry Village Mountain Shop and General Store, and Various cabin interiors at Curry Village.

Diversified Development Group (DDG)

We have done dozens of buildings for DDG over the years. These are large concrete tilt-up warehouse/office buildings in the Fresno and Visalia Area. As well as painting, these projects have included the installation of urethane sealants.

Kaweah Delta Health Care District Hospital, North Expansion

This was a $75 million project just complete in 2009. As well as architectural finishes, the project included high performance special coatings, vinyl wall coverings, and sealant work.

Regal-Edwards Theatre

In 1998, we completed the Edwards Theatre. The project included exterior textured coatings, high-performance urethanes and epoxies, and interior vinyl wall coverings and custom faux finishes. Since opening, we have been hired to keep the “sparkle” on the finishes. This maintenance work includes wall covering repair and replacement, various paint touch-up and repainting jobs, and some graphic-art work. A few years later, we completed the IMAX theatre which has also been on a maintenance schedule.

Warner Co. Jewelers

This project had a very aggressive time frame for completion while at the same time requiring the highest level of finishes. We were able to complete the project on time and maintain the high quality commensurate with a fine quality jewelry store. The exterior was an elastomeric finish over smooth plaster. This project was on a marquee corner in Fresno and we have since received many calls regarding the colors and type of finish.

Clovis East High School

We have done many projects through the years with Clovis Unified School District. This project was a repaint of a portion of the high school. The work included sandblasting the old paint off of the tube steel structure of the canopies while protecting the prefinished corrugated decking. The work also included elastomeric coatings and water repellent coatings. The project was completed during the summer and six weeks ahead of schedule, thus eliminating potential impact to the students.

BMW Dealership

This project was very challenging because of the use of silver metallic finishes on the exterior steel columns and the interior exposed structural steel ceiling. The challenge was to find metallic silver that matched the prefinished building components and then apply it satisfactorily in field conditions.

Land O’Lakes Dryer Tower

This project was an interior and exterior paint job of a new dryer tower installed at Land O’Lakes. The project was almost all high-performance coatings (epoxies and urethanes) and water repellents. There was also extensive use of high-reach boom equipment, scaffolding, and swing-stage.

Fashion Fair Mall, Fresno

Over the last several years we have completed many projects at Fashion Fair (in fact we painted the mall originally in 1970). The largest project was the complete interior repaint of the mall and the new food court. The mall remained open during the repaint portion which was completed all at night. Each night was a phase which had to be cleaned up by the next day so as not to impact business. We also completed the most recent outdoor mall expansion which included the shell buildings and many shop tenant improvements.

KMPH High-Definition Repaint

As a result of the conversion to high-definition T.V., the KMPH studios had to be repainted. Working with studio personnel and testing the new colors “on camera,” the new colors were chosen and the studio was repainted. To eliminate impact to the news production process, the work was done partially on the weekends and we used zero-voc paint products.

Cilion

This project was the painting of a new methanol production plant. The work included the use of special coatings (epoxies and urethanes) on structural steel, piping, tanks, and equipment.
